Introduction

This section of the website is aimed at current and potential tutors.  You will find information on becoming a tutor including what type of person the charity is looking for as well as the nature of the job. This section also provides all the forms necessary to apply for a tutorial position.

The Tutor zone also offers resource information to aid you throughout the provision of lessons and provides all the necessary report forms required.

We are slowly branching out all over the UK and have "out posts" in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Devon, Neath, Cheshire, Merseyside, Kent, Sussex and Milton Keynes.  Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, U Can Do I.T. are unable to  provide outreach services which means that tutors in these areas work on the understanding that they recruit their own students.

We would welcome applications from anyone interested in becoming a tutor throughout the UK who is willing to work on the above basis.  If you would like to discuss this further please contact us.

The Charity is committed to developing, maintaining and supporting a policy of equal opportunities in employment. It aims to create the conditions in which its staff and freelance tutors are treated equitably regardless of age, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, creed, disability, staff category, sexual orientation, gender, marital or parental status, political belief or social or economic class, or any other criteria that cannot be shown to be properly justifiable.

Tutors will need to be trained to ECDL or equivalent standard (the U Can Do I.T. course syllabus is based on Module 7 of the ECDL).
