By the end of 2003, we had achieved our highest level of volunteers - so thanks to Doreen and Tricia.Volunteers play an important role both as a source of new students and in raising the U Can Do I.T. profile with a range of organisations who send us student referrals. These include Doctors Surgeries, Hospitals, Social Services, and local disability groups. The volunteers are also involved e-mailing local Coucillors, and sending articles to local press and magazines.
A lot of work has been done recently sending out tapes of our service to Libraries and Talking Newspapers, and big thanks here to Sameena Troll and her husband Phillip who have recorded interviews, with a range of people extolling
the virtues of our service!
