September 2006 Newsletter
Hi Everyone
Apologies for the long gap between newsletters.
As you may have noticed, we have changed the design of the website – thanks Carl. Let us know what you think and also if you have any ideas or suggestions on the current content – admin@ucandoit.org.uk
The 12th of September was a sad day as we bid a tearful farewell to Sarika one of our Administrators. She is off to travel around Europe for a month before returning home to New Zealand. We would like to thank her for all the hard work she put in while she was with us.
On a lighter note we are happy to welcome our new Administrator Hong Le Vong who has settled in well after receiving expert training from Sarika.
We had a tutor seminar on the 5th, among the subjects discussed were recent fundraising and outreach, remote tuition and recycling. Full minutes can be found on the website.
Towards the end of September we placed an advert in Getting There magazine which tested the resolve of the Admin Department, with the phone ringing off the hook and the photocopier almost collapsing under the strain of generating application forms. However, like the true professionals we are, we remained calm and composed under pressure.
Lisa – Administration Department
