Week Commencing 14 April
The theme of brain injuries continued over from last week when Cliff Docherty visited the brain injury rehabilitation unit (BIRU) in Edgware to meet and talk to the team there. The professionals at the unit come from a variety of medical and therapeutic disciplines and were very interested to hear about our work. After the formal talk was over a number of people approached Cliff to discuss specific cases and it is expected that some of these will be referred to U Can Do I.T. We are grateful to Ana Bajo, Associate Clinical Scientist at BIRU for facilitating our visit. We must also put our thanks on record for the fee we were paid, which was completely unexpected and very welcome.Thursday is Cliff Docherty"s final day in post as Development and Promotion Manager, a role which will be taken over by Chris Garbett once we return after the Easter break, though Cliff will be working alongside him for a few days to ensure a smooth handover. We aren"t losing Cliff entirely though, as he will be continuing as a tutor and has kindly agreed to help out with projects in the future
