Week Commencing 31st March
On 31st March Anthony Wigram and Cliff Docherty met with Doreen Nicholas, our volunteer co-ordinator and a course graduate herself. Doreen has been working very hard sending out course evaluation forms, collating the results and encouraging others to come forward as volunteers. The first batch of evaluations have now come back, showing an astonishing 92% satisfaction rate. We are very proud to publicise this fact, but of course there is always room for improvement so we will be taking note of the comments that have come back to us.Doreen also reported on the progress of recruiting course graduates to help with outreach or buddying current students. A number have come forward and are busy giving our information to a variety of organisations that can help us recruit new students. Thanks in particular are due to Mike Brace, Joseph Hobbs, Anne Ingles and Arif Khan.
This week saw the completion of the first section of simplified training manual. The project has been overseen by Chairman, Anthony Wigram, with the tutor team contributing to content. Thanks in particular are due to Trcia Webb and Debbie Brixey for their time and effort. The completed section covers using Outlook Express to access email and is available in Word format. Alternative formats will be online soon.
