Week Commencing 28th October
We have had a very valuable meeting with Sharon Cohen of Westminster Youth Service, with whom we have been collaborating over a Connexions grant to teach 10 young people internet skills. Apart from identifying potential learners we will be collaborating to see whether our course can be accredited as a recognised module leading to an AQA certificate. We will shortly be meeting to look at this in more detail.Cliff Docherty attended a reception hosted by Ability Net in recognition of their tenth anniversary and work with IBM. Keynote speakers included Lady Margaret Tebbitt who explained how she had learnt to access computers despite having been severely disabled as a result of the Brighton Grand Hotel bombing in 1984 during the Conservative Party Conference.
Warm congratulations to Ziari F and Winifred S who completed their courses this month.
