 Become A Student:

How To Apply:

The U Can Do I.T. student application procedure is as follows:

1. You fill in our student application form.

This consists of several pages of questions which helps us gain enough information about you to assess your suitability for the course and match the you with the right tutor. You can view and download the application form here.  We would also be grateful if you would complete our ethnic monitoring form.

2. With your permission, we take up your doctor's reference and three personal references.  Please download the doctor's letter here.

Due to the nature of the course with a tutor visiting the student in their own home, we are required to take up personal references and a doctor's check on the student. However, we would reassure students that a similarly thorough check takes place on all our tutors before they are allowed into your home. Any information given is regarded as strictly confidential to be seen only by relevant employees of U Can Do I.T.

3. You sign and return the student terms and conditions.

We require the return of a signed copy of the student terms and conditions before a tutor is sent to the students home to do an assessment. The terms and conditions set out in detail the relationship between U Can Do I.T. and the student under which the tuition is provided. We require you to sign and return a copy to us. You can view and download a copy of the student terms and conditions here.

4. A U Can Do I.T. Tutor assesses you.

Your allocated tutor visits you in your own home and carries out the Personal Assessment Session (PAS). This is to confirm that your computer is both adequate and in working order, that you have the right programs and modem and that your personal enthusiasm for the U Can Do I.T. course makes it likely that you will enjoy the U Can Do I.T. service. Assuming the PAS is successful, the tutor will then collect your registration fee and 50% of any course fee that is appropriate.

5. The lessons commence.

Once we have confirmed through feedback from the assessment that the student's computer is sufficiently modern to access the Internet and that the student has the necessary enthusiasm to complete the course, the 10 lessons will commence.

We do recognises that the application process is of a lengthy nature. However, the aim is not to deter any one from taking part, but to ensure that our resources are used to benefit those that really do want to learn to use the Internet. We endeavour to get applicants through the application process in the shortest time possible. You can help by replying promptly and giving your referees notice that we will be in touch with them about you.

All the above forms are available for download in one single Zip folder.

We really do welcome your application.
