1. How Is The Training Given?

The training sessions are given on a one to one basis in the student's own home on their own computer.

2. How Long Is The Course?

The course consists of 10 sessions of approximately one to two hours each over a five to six week period. The actual time of individual sessions is made by mutually convenient arrangements between the tutor and student.

3. What Does The Training Include?

All the tricks of the trade for sending and receiving an e-mail, surfing the net and joining chat rooms and newsgroups.

4. Who Can Apply To Be a U Can Do I.T. Student?

Any physically disabled person living in any London Borough can apply to U Can Do I.T. to become a student.

5. What Equipment Will I Need?

Applicants must have an up-to-date computer (no more than 5 years old) with Windows 95 or higher. Students must have an up-to-date modem and telephone line.

6. Does You Provide Computer Equipment?

The answer is, no. However, we can recommend various charities who are able to provide equipment subject to funding. There is a link to a list of Specialist Equipment Suppliers here.

7. Do you provide tuition for people with hearing and visual impairment?

Yes, we have a number of tutors with specialist skills.

8. What Happens When The Course of 10 Lessons Is Completed?

Once the course is over you will be on your own. However, our tutors may be available to give technical support and additional tuition at cost price.

9. Technical Support?

We can organise technical support by one of our freelance tutors. However, we cannot provide this free of charge. The charge for a technical visit is currently £30.00 plus travel expenses.
