 E-mail from Isobel Glentworth:

"Dear WAACIS,

I have just completed my tenth session with Mary Bautista-Harman. I have been trying to learn about the Internet and my set-up since I bought my computer 3 years ago, but I haven't been able to keep up with the tutors. I have MS and use a wheelchair. I am very well but I have certain difficulties as a result of MS. I get tired very quickly. I have problems comprehending certain things, my recall ability is sometimes poor and my hand/eye contact is not always good.

Mary has a wonderful ability to work with these difficulties without talking about it. I now feel confident in all the areas that we have worked on and have felt able to practise in the knowledge that she will be there to put me back on the right track. She has a wonderful sense of humour, she is aware of my changing energy levels and of my home situation. Nobody else has been able to help me use the computer and I have gained such a lot from my 10 sessions. I am sure she is excellent with all her students with disabilities; she is so understanding, interesting, capable and prompt.

I have no reservations in recommending WAACIS to other disabled people and would be willing to write an article for Disability Now - who I occasionally work for, reading the paper to blind people on tape. I just wish I had ten more lessons with Mary, but I feel able to move on now and make the most of all areas with the computer.

Thank you so much WAACIS for giving me this opportunity,

Isobel Glentworth"
