Lifelong Learning
Lifelong learningSo, you've developed the skills to use the Internet, what now?
Now it's time to put those skills to good use and take full advantage of what the Internet has to offer. Never before has it been so easy to gain access to so many different areas of learning. Whether you want to find a college that can teach you flower arranging or whether you want to study for a degree in the comfort of your own home, it is readily available to you at the click of a button.
Of course, some of these courses do not come cheap, and you may need advice about which courses to take. It would be wise to get an expert opinion, so check out our General Information and Advice section. This page has links to different sites which offer useful advice and support.
If you already know what area of learning you would like to develop or would just like to see what is on offer, go to our Find a Course or Local College section. You have two different options: either online courses, which will enable you to continue your learning from the comfort of your own home or you might like to take advantage of the benefits offered from learning at a college or university. Some of these organisations offer free or low cost courses.
Many people do not realise what is available on their own doorstep, so it might be a good idea to check out your Local Council to see what is on offer - they may also be able to help with funding. We have compiled a page which will connect you directly to the educational opportunities section of your Local Council Website.
Of course, you do not have to limit yourself to the web sites we have listed. They are just a small sample of what is available. Have a good search on the web and see what you come up with.
Good Luck and Happy Learning
