Find A Job
Now that you have the skills to surf the web, you have an abundance of resources available at your fingertips. It can take some people a lot of time and effort to find employment while others are fortunate enough to just "walk into" a job. We aim to give you some helpful advice and useful links to other websites in order to get you on the right track. We suggest you take a look at our General Advice section where there are links to different organisations who offer invaluable advice and support for people who are seeking employment. This varies from financial help to work placements.
If you know what you want to do and where you want to do it have a look at our Job Search Methods page. This gives you an idea of where to look for those elusive job vacancies. When you've found your dream job advertised, it's time to make contact. Check out our CV's, Covering Letters and Interview Tips section for handy hints and tips on overcoming your nerves at an interview! We've also given links to sites who can help you compile your CV and compose a winning Covering Letter.
It's always wise to check with your Local Council to see what is available to you locally. We have a page which will connect you directly to the employment opportunities section of your Local Council Website.
Now, don't limit yourself to the web sites we have listed. They are just a small sample of what is available. Have a good search on the web and see what you come up with.
And remember, finding a job isn't easy so don't get too disheartened if things don't happen straight away. Have faith in yourself and if you believe you can do it others will to. Good Luck.
