Computer training for blind deaf and disabled people in their own home

FAQ's

1. How are lessons given?
Lessons are given on a one to one basis in your own home and on your own computer.   You arrange lesson times with your tutor - this can be in the evenings or at weekends.

2. How Long Is The Course?
You first have an assessment with your tutor, then you will have 10 lessons which last between 1½ to 2 hours each - usually one lesson a week.   We are now offering students 4 hours of Remote Tuition which can be taken after the 10 lessons have finished. Your tutor will also come back to see 3 months and 9 months after your course has ended to see how you are getting on.

We are able to put you on "hold" if you become ill or have computer problems.    

3. What Equipment Will I Need?
You need to have an up-to-date computer and telephone line (to connect to the Internet).

4. Do you Provide Computer Equipment?
We sometimes receive funding to provide refurbished second hand computers and/or software.  Please contact us for further information.
