 About The Project:

Plans for the Future:

At present U Can Do I.T. is only able to concentrate training delivery in the London area. However, we will expand our service throughout the United Kingdom as soon as we have the necessary structures in place, backed up by adequate funding.

Students who are Blind or Partially Sighted, Speech or Hearing Impaired:

We are delighted by the quality and commitment of the tutors who have joined the scheme. Several possess the necessary skills required for teaching people who are blind or deaf, for example knowledge of screen reader software or the ability to teach using British Sign Language.

 Our Discussions with Ability Net:

One major challenge we face is the accurate and skilled assessment of potential students with special needs. This involves knowledge of the latest technical advances in software and adaptive technology, and we have an ongoing programme to provide training to tutors who lack experience in these areas. In this respect we have been working closely with Ability Net, a leading charity that undertakes to provide computers and give advice to people with disabilities, providing the individual concerned has obtained the necessary funding.
